Join the Sedex team and Global Strategy Management Technology Co. Ltd. for the fourth Sedex China Members’ Forum in Shenzhen, China, on 21 November 2012.
Since the Sedex China office was set up almost 5 years ago, China’s economy has experienced unprecedented changes and supply chain social responsibility has become an increasingly important issue for businesses in the region.
This year’s Members’ Forum will give attendees the opportunity to explore trends and topics in this area, from labour standards and health and safety, through to more recent concerns around environmental management, innovative audits, and the analysis of compliance cost and factory performance.
Speakers at this year’s event include Marks & Spencer, the Walt Disney Company, Monsoon, INFACT Global Partners, Bureau Veritas, Vital Management Assessment (HK) Ltd and 2 Sedex supplier members.
Sedex General Manager, Carmel Giblin, will also be at the event to discuss Sedex’s future plans.
Please see the event agenda for a full list of speakers and session topics.
In order to ensure that members are getting the most from their Sedex membership we will be holding a dedicated training session for B members on 22 November (the day after the members’ forum). Members can attend Sedex system training (which will cover the upgrades that were launched in 2011), awareness training on the new version of SMETA, and a social compliance workshop.
