The Water Action Hub is a collaborative tool to help organisations meet their water objectives.
The Water Action Hub is an online platform designed to promote water-related collaboration among business and other stakeholders in river basins. The project is being led by the UN CEO Water Mandate, with project partners the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), GIZ, and Deloitte.
Many water-related problems cannot be solved independently; rather collective action is necessary to bring about desired outcomes. By providing a free tool that facilitates collaboration at a local level, the project partners hope to accelerate progress on the serious water challenges we all face.
Initially the Hub included the Colorado (North America), Wami-Ruvu (Tanzania), and Orange-Senqu (Southern Africa) river basins. Since its launch last year, it has expanded to an additional 3 basins: the Ganges (South Asia); Limpopo (Southern Africa); and Lake Victoria (East Africa), and now features close to 60 organizations and 80 projects.
The Hub is free-of-charge to use and open to all organisations and entities interested in working with others to promote better local water resource management. For more information about the Hub, please see the Overview of the Water Action Hub which you can find here: http://www.ceowatermandate.org/files/WaterActionHubOverviewJanuary2013.pdf.
