Supply Chain Forum: Managing for supply chain sustainability

Sedex & UNGC UK logos

SEDEX EVENT

This series is the result of an events partnership between UN Global Compact – UK Network (UNGC-UK) and Sedex to facilitate our shared aims of driving improvements and convergence in responsible business practices.

Date: 15th October 2014

Time: 2-5pm BST

Venue: BBC Worldwide, Foley Street, London, W1

Reports from the UNGC highlight that there can often be a gap between what companies say they want to do and what they are able to do, often owing to organisational roadblocks both internally and with supply chain partners. Embedding CSR into an organisations’ policies, procedures and practices is challenging enough, without surmounting a lack of internal buy-in, resource, or colleague disinterest. In addition, more companies are finding a top-down approach ineffective at systematic improvements of standards in the supply chain without proper efforts engagement and capability building.

From embedding CSR into the heart of an organisations’ structure to pioneering new business models, at this B2B forum learn how companies are overcoming internal challenges by introducing organisational structures that enable their sustainability goals.

Participate in B2B, peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and learning, facilitated by UNGC-UK and Sedex.
